In Which We Go to School -- Again

Tonight we went to Audrey's school for our first parent-teacher conference. In my hazy memories, I can recall waiting nervously for my parents to return home from meeting with my teachers with hopes that they had good things to say about me.

Apparently, it's different now, especially with kindergarten. Kids come along for the ride! We sat down with her at four different centers, testing her phonics, reading, math, and writing. She did awesome at all four. Then we sat down with her teacher and got her first report card. She is excelling in all of the areas -- reading, writing, math, and most importantly, social skills. It was such a relief to hear that Audrey has made so many friends.

Afterward we popped over to Arctic Circle and got her a chocolate dipped kiddie cone. She was so excited!

I wonder if the sugar rush has worn off yet...
