In Which I Run and Eat

My clothes still smell like turkey. Behold the awesome power of Thanksgiving!

Now, to explain the running. A group of ladies I workout with every week decided to have an impromptu 5K this morning and somehow I convinced myself to join them. If you know me at all, you know that I am not a runner. You would know that I used to fake being sick during gym in middle school and high school just to get out of running the track. I dislike running almost as much as I dislike math.

But I did it anyway. I didn't run the entire way; I had to stop and walk every so often to pace myself (and to get my breath back). It was a good moment to prove to myself that I could do it, but I'm kinda regretting it now because of the very sharp pain residing in my hips and foot. I spent most of the evening limping and trying not to be useless.

I don't think I was too useless earlier. We headed over to the house this morning around 11 and only just got home an hour ago. I helped my mom prep the stuffing (oh so yummy), boiled and mashed the potatoes (again, very yummy), mixed up the fruit salad (Nathan's favorite), and many other minor items. Plus the apple crisp. Oh, I know what I'm having for breakfast tomorrow...
