In Which We Almost Make it Through an Entire Movie

This was the other part of yesterday's adventure, so no, we did not go to the movies on Sunday.

Ammon scored free tickets to Puss in Boots from one of his work's consulting firms. Who are we to pass up something free, right?

This was also Nathan's first time to see a movie in a movie theater. Before it began, I was a bit nervous to see how he would act, because at home, he'll watch a movie for about 20 minutes (if we're lucky) before he's off doing something else or in another room. He didn't have that option this time.

He didn't look like this the whole time, thankfully. (I just caught him off guard with the camera). I watched him through a good part of the movie and he was pretty entranced with the whole thing. He didn't get squirmy until the last 20 minutes or so, where he proceeded to move from his seat to Daddy's lap (and smacking him in the head) then over to the seat next to me (recently vacated by Audrey) and then finally onto my lap. Sitting in one place for such a long time is hard for such an intense 3-year-old. Not even church is that long!

This little one, knew the protocol for movie theaters, having been to two movies with me previously. She portioned out her popcorn during the movie, sat quietly in her seat, but then laid down on Daddy's lap later. She said she was a little bored during the movie, but after it was all over, she proclaimed it to be the funniest thing ever.

Ahh, nothing like popcorn at 11:00 in the morning. Makes for an awesome lunch.

Glad they had fun! I still remember my first movie: Rainbow Brite! And my brother's first (to his everlasting torment and my eternal glee) was MY LITTLE PONY!
